Working with Erica, owner of Pilates-Fit, has brought
about a very dramatic change in my ability to tap into my core strength.
For years I had gone for weekly deep tissue massage to relieve the
tension in my shoulders and upper back. I practiced yoga on a regular
basis; I’m even certified to teach yoga. Adding Pilates to my workout
has changed all the things that I did before in many beneficial ways.
My shoulders and upper back are stronger and more flexible and are
finally able to work in coordination with my core strength.
This
new found core strength has brought profound changes to my yoga practice
and has helped change the walking portion of my workout. In just
a few weeks, my walking stride was smoother, my balance stronger,
and the stiffness that I was prone to feeling in my hip and low back,
no longer occurred. There is no doubt that Pilates has helped my
body regain a better and stronger alignment so that I can enjoy all
the things I do. Even my golf game improved!
